    Doris describes her personal journey as one of self-discovery and personal growth. Many times she felt her life was out of control, that she did not have a voice and that she was helpless to change the situation. Through all of the challenges that she encountered personally and professionally, she chose to learn and grow through them. Those life lessons together with 15 years of experience in human resource management has given Doris a passion for assisting people in the process of discovering their authentic self and then setting goals in keeping with their values to increase the quality of life.

    One of Doris’ many strengths is to listen and interpret thoughts and feelings, then provide helpful feedback. Her insights enable individuals to overcome their self-limiting beliefs and grow in self-empowerment. She deeply respects the individual journey and is patient with the process but quick to recognize and celebrate growth steps. One of her favourite words is “intentional”. She will often say that we don’t “default” to our highest goals, we must be intentional in our choices and decisions.

    Doris is a certified life coach having received training in the Interpersonal Wellness System. This model recognizes that people are multi-dimensional and proposes the goal of attaining health in all dimensions of our lives. In addition, she adheres to the International Coach Federation (ICF) code of ethics and core competencies. Doris has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College.
